Call for Proposals
The Cross-University Collaborative Mentoring Conference (CUCMC) is a student-led conference committed to developing child-centered research which is useful to the academic community, policymakers, and practitioners. By fostering supportive relationships between doctoral students and mentors, CUCMC creates an environment for future researchers to present their work and receive feedback from fellow students and distinguished faculty. CUCMC presents a unique opportunity for budding researchers to make connections across academic jurisdictions and participate in a nurturing learning community in which all participants have similar research foci.
Presentations should be tailored to encourage discussion of specific research process issues. Discussion topics may include:
- Developing a research proposal and design
- Research in collaboration and partnership
- Issues with recruitment and attrition
- Interpreting data
- Issues that arise during data collection
- Distributing/publishing study results
CUCMC conference will take place on Friday, June 5th 2015 with a keynote address and reception the night before on Thursday, June 4th 2015.
